About
Medina is a canal town, actually a village, in Orleans County that straddles the towns of Ridgeway and Shelby.
History

Medina also gave its name to the Medina Epoch, the name of geologic formations that are a subdivision of the Niagara period in the American upper Silurian, characterized by the formations known as the Oneida conglomerate, and the Medina sandstone.
