Evan "JabberWokky" Edwards lives in Central Pennsylvania and heads north now and then through New York. Before that he lived in Davis and was an early editor on the Davis Wiki. Now he's active all over Wiki Spot, in part because he loves to travel and enjoys learning about different real world communities. Yes, "JabberWokky" is a nickname, and his wife really does call him Wokky as a term of endearment.

He has several Wiki Spot editor entries, the main of which you can find by wikispotclicking here.

2008-12-27 18:07:23   Wegmans FAQ: Why is there no apostrophe in Wegmans? [WWW]http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/FAQDetailView?storeId=10052&catalogId=&langId=-1&faqCategory=AboutWegmans#question_7

2008-12-27 19:06:24   I still don't see the relevance of commenting on it today, since it has been the corporate name, trademark name, etc for 77 years and there was never thought of changing it. I realize there are ignorant bloggers complaining about the lack of an apostrophe and people just people keep bringing up the question of why there is not a n apostrophe, causing Wegmans to add an FAQ entry. Just my opinion. —BradMandell

2008-12-27 19:11:42   Thanks for doing some cleanup for me - I have been whacking away at this almost non-stop - trying to flush out the FrontPage drill down. I was not trying to be argumentative about Wegmans - just like to discuss stuff. By the way, we commute down through central PA (15) on a pretty regular basis as our kids and grandkids live in Northern VA. —BradMandell

2008-12-27 19:15:05   Great add with the RocWiki wiki linking, I did not realize they were on the list My Bad - got a lot of them to patch up (:>)

2009-08-24 20:53:28   Hi Evan, I am also an Admin on BufWiki and have not heard from Dave Monroe for a while. I tried to correct the Logo problem, but am apparently missing something for setting the blank space. Also I am unclear how the Wiki Name and the catchphrase impact this. I deleted the Main Logo and Background and moved the provided image into the right place. I changed the Wiki Name to BufWiki and deleted the catchphrase trying to fix it. Could you please help. Thanks —BradMandell

2009-08-25 11:15:18   Thanks for the input, I think I understand how this works, EXCEPT!!! No matter how tall or short I make the transparent rectangle to upload, I cannot get the top of the background to show.
When I upload the transparent rectangle, the logo displays on the Images page with the background and shows properties of the backgrounds size, rather than the size of the rectangle I uploaded??? I tried deleting all previous revisions, etc, but it does not seem to help.

Any suggestions???
Thanks !! —BradMandell

2009-09-04 16:51:53   Yes, BuffaloBobWiki, is my demonstration User - I am experimenting with integrating facilities not available in wikispot with and extended [WWW]BufWiki on pbworks where the map can be implemented directly on the page as created in Google User Maps or Directions. - BradMandell AKA —BuffaloBob

2009-10-05 10:41:30   Yes, I went through that on the Rochester Wiki too. I had meant to create some information about the subject on BufWiki, but got caught up doing other infrastructure. I will be throwing something together now and develop it as I can. —BradMandell

2009-10-06 14:39:18   See my BufWiki Guide for Teachers & Students - I will be doing some more on it and will put some wiki-wide info for sharing on WikiSpot when I fill it out more. When I get a little ahead of the curve on BufWiki, I hope to share my experience (RocWIki, BufWiki, SyrWIki, Baton Rouge, Ithaca, etc) building infrastructure for a City Wiki infrastructure. Don't know if this is best done in City-Wiki or as a separate wiki for all the creators (and early senior editor/admins) to share their experiences and further develop on the ideas. Thoughts? —BradMandell
